FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every piece we create at Britto Charette Studio is a unique marriage of master craftsmanship and collectible design. Below find answers to how we bring these functional art pieces to life.

ARTISTRY AND CUSTOMIZATION

Are your pieces truly unique?
Yes, every item is handmade to order, ensuring that no two pieces are identical. Slight variations in grain texture, and finish are celebrated hallmarks of our authentic artisan craft.

Can I request custom dimensions or materials?
Absolutely! We specialize in bespoke commissions. You can collaborate with our design team to tailor the dimensions, wood species, metal finishes, or textiles to fit your space perfectly.

Is fabric included in the price of upholstered pieces?
No, fabric is not included in the price. Customers purchase fabric and send it to our workroom at their own cost. Upon request, we can provide guidance on color palettes and some of the textile brands our studio uses.

ORDERING AND PRODUCTION TIMELINE

What is the lead time for a custom piece?
Because our furniture is meticulously handcrafted by master artisans, after all finishes are approved, the lead times typically range from 14 to 18 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and material availability. This does not include transit time.

Can I cancel or modify my order?
Modifications or cancellations can only be made within 48 hours of your order confirmation and before your deposit is made. Beyond this window, materials are secured and production begins.

Are exchanges/returns accepted?
No. All Britto Charette Studio products are custom, made-to-order pieces and are not exchangeable or returnable unless damaged during transit.

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we coordinate global white-glove delivery, including customs clearance management. International crating and shipping fees are calculated bespoke per order.

Are tariffs, import taxes, and shipping included in the price?
No, these are invoiced separately as we do not know the exact amount(s) until the piece(s) are received by customs.

Is local delivery included in the price?
No, local delivery is invoiced separately.

Can we store the pieces once they are complete?
Our workroom in Italy occasionally has the space to store pieces at $150 per month.

AUTHENTICITY AND INVESTMENT CARE

Do the pieces come with proof of authenticity?
Yes, every Britto Charette Studio collectible piece is physically signed or stamped by the master artisan and accompanied by a numbered, hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.

How do I care for my heirloom furniture?
Generally, we recommend maintaining a stable climate of 40-60% humidity, avoiding direct sun, and dusting exclusively with a dry microfiber cloth. Never use commercial chemical polishes on our fine furnishings.
